I’m Emily, a certified colour analyst and artist. After seeing the effects of colour analysis on my own confidence and appearance, I spent the last few years researching this industry, getting analyses done from around the world, and building my education to bring it to my community with an artist’s touch.
My Education I am trained and received my certificate by Colour Analysis Studio. I also have a BFA from NSCAD University, with extensive experience in art and design.
My Approach I'm an ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and strive to challenge Eurocentric and cisnormative beauty standards through my work by looking at clothing through a personalized and radical lens. If this isn't your vibe, I'm not the colour analyst for you. Learn more about my story here.

Your analysis starts with a colour theory lesson where I demystify colour analysis system and review terminology. We then do a series of draping with beautiful products from Italy Image Institute to determine your undertone, intensity level, and finally your sub season. We then review your palette in detail, metals, your make up, hair and answer any questions you have.

You’ll arrive to my home studio in Dartmouth (the address is sent after booking) and we’ll start with a cup of tea and a chat. I’m here to listen and help you.
I ask that people come to their appointment without makeup or self tanner. You’re welcome to bring your makeup and favourite clothing pieces to review.

We review your palette in detail, metals, your makeup, hair and answer any questions you have. It’s my goal for you to feel 100% clarity.

No. I’m focused on giving my clients a thorough session full of clarity, and having too many people/too many cooks in the kitchen can distract from this process.

If your hair is coloured, we can still do your analysis! Your hair will just be covered during the session.
A natural tan will not effect your analysis. It’s recommended that you abstain form self tanner before your session.

You can try, but you’ll never get the same assurance as you would with a professional with expertly developed tools.
AI looks at only pixels and can’t read colour relativity the same way a trained eye can. Chat GPT seems to type almost everyone as Soft Autumn or Soft Summer, which most people aren’t!

Yes, you may bring up to 1 friend to your session!

No thanks! Don’t get me wrong, I love kids! However, this type of session requires focus for myself and for you. It’s meant to be a relaxing and inspiring experience, not distracted.

In colour analysis, there are different systems that range from 4 seasons——popularized in the 80s with Winter, Spring, Summer & Autumn——all the way up to 23 seasons.
In my extensive research, I found this system to be the sweet spot. This provides a specific colour palette but is still accessible and simple for my clients to understand.
We see each season (Winter, Spring, Summer & Autumn) to have 3 sub seasons plus a “True” season.

After puberty, your home season will not change. As we age, we tend to loose intensity in our features, and we might shift slightly within our season. I will guide clients about what this looks like in a customized way.
